Overview

This page explains how you can request deletion of your Dokanly account and the personal data associated with it, what we delete, what we may need to retain, and how long the process takes. It also serves as our Data Deletion Instructions for third-party platforms that require such a URL.

How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and data in either of the following ways:

By email: send a request to privacy@dokanly.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

From your account: if account deletion is available in your dashboard settings, you can start the request there.

What to Include in Your Request

To help us locate your data and verify your identity, please include the email address associated with your account, your store or business name, and a description of what you want deleted (for example, your entire account or specific data). We may ask for additional information to confirm your identity before acting on the request.

What Gets Deleted

Upon a verified request, we delete or anonymize the personal data associated with your account, including your profile information, store and catalog data, and customer and order records you control, except for data we are required or permitted to retain as described below.

What We May Retain

We may retain certain information where required for legal, tax, accounting, financial-records, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes, or to comply with applicable law. This may include transaction and billing records, wallet top-up and usage history, and records needed to establish or defend legal claims.

Retained data is limited to what is necessary for those purposes and is deleted or anonymized once it is no longer required.

Timeline

We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Where a longer period is required to complete deletion across backups and connected systems, we will delete or anonymize the data as soon as reasonably practicable and keep it protected in the meantime.

End-Customers of a Store

If you are a customer of a store built on Dokanly and want your data deleted, please contact the store owner directly, as they control your personal data. The store owner can process your request and, where needed, ask Dokanly for assistance. If you are unsure how to reach the store owner, you may contact us at privacy@dokanly.com and we will help route your request.
