This Privacy Policy explains how Dokanly ("Dokanly", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our e-commerce platform, websites, dashboards, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Dokanly enables merchants to build, host, and operate their own online stores.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. This Policy applies to merchants who use Dokanly to run a store, and it also describes how we handle the personal data of a merchant store’s end-customers on the merchant’s behalf.

Account information: when you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, and login credentials. For platform administrators we may also collect role and permission data.

Store and catalog data: information you add to build and run your store, such as product names, descriptions, prices, images, categories, inventory levels, store settings, and theme customizations.

Orders and customer data you upload: as a merchant, you may add or import data about your own customers and their orders (names, shipping addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and order history). You are the controller of this data; Dokanly processes it on your behalf to provide the Service.

Payment metadata: payments are processed by our payment provider, Paymob. Dokanly does not store full card numbers. We receive and store limited payment metadata such as transaction identifiers, amounts, status, and the last digits or card brand where provided, so we can reconcile orders, wallet top-ups, and billing.

Usage and analytics data: we collect information about how the Service is used, such as pages viewed, features used, device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, and diagnostic logs.

Cookies and similar technologies: we and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Service, and measure usage.

To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including hosting your store and processing orders and payments.

To manage your account, authenticate you, and apply your prepaid wallet balance and pay-as-you-go usage charges.

To communicate with you about your account, transactions, security alerts, support requests, and service updates.

To improve, personalize, and develop the Service, including analytics, troubleshooting, and product research.

To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service.

To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

Payment providers: we share transaction data with Paymob to process store payments and wallet top-ups. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy terms.

Shipping and logistics providers: where you enable shipping features, we share order and delivery details (such as recipient name, address, and phone number) with the relevant carrier to fulfill and track deliveries.

Hosting and infrastructure providers: we use trusted infrastructure and hosting vendors to run the Service. They process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.

Service providers: we may share data with vendors that help us with analytics, communications, customer support, and security, acting on our instructions.

Legal and safety: we may disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dokanly, our users, or the public.

Business transfers: if Dokanly is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal data.

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information for longer where required for legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for the activity that occurs under your account.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your data.

If you are an end-customer of a merchant’s store, please contact that store owner, who controls your data; we will support them in responding to your request.

Cookies help us operate and secure the Service and understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works, including staying signed in.

The Service is intended for businesses and individuals aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Dokanly operates primarily in Egypt, and your data may be processed in Egypt and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where data is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it receives an appropriate level of protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
